OFFICIAL RULES

CONDITIONS AND GUIDLINES

LOCATION & PLACEMENT

  • Game pieces will not be hidden at Como Zoo and Conservatory.​

  • Game pieces will not be hidden on a standard golf course.

  • Game pieces will not be hidden in playgrounds.

  • Game pieces will not be hidden in tall grass taller than 1 foot.

  • Game pieces will not be hidden on steep hills or in any dangerous location.

  • Game pieces will not be hidden in or on a body of water - no need to get wet.

  • Game pieces will be placed no higher than 5 feet off the ground.

  • Game pieces will not be buried, though they may be lightly covered by leaves, rocks, pebbles, sand, or natural brush.

  • You will never need to deconstruct or damage public property to retrieve a game piece.

EQUIPMENT RULES

  • Metal detectors are strictly prohibited. Use of a metal detector will result in disqualification for you and your entire team from all prizes.

TEAM & ELIGIBILITY

  • If hunting as a group, every team member must be a registered participant to receive the full prize. Even if one team member is unregistered, the group will only receive $100. This will be strictly enforced.

CLUE STRUCTER

  • This is a 12-clue Classic Style hunt.

  • One clue will be released each day at 5:00pm starting on 6/3/26 until Coldest's Lost Treasure Xllll is found.

PRIZE CONDITIONS

  • If the Coldest's Lost Treasure Xllll is not found by 5:00pm on 6/15/26, the full prize will roll over to a future hunt at the full discretion of the Medallion Militia. 

TREASURE PASS CONDITIONS

  • Coldest's Lost Treasure Xllll is worth 40 Treasure Points.

  • All finds will be considered TEAM POINTS. The finder will need to name their teammates for them to receive Treasure Points.

  • Treasure Points will be awarded at the conclusion of the hunt to current and future Treasure Pass Season 3 Holders up until registration ends for Season 3.

ALTERNATE PATH AND CRITICAL CLUE

​      I will be releasing an Alternate Path Clue along with clue 6. The way it works is, this Alternate Path Clue will not tell you anything about where the Treasure Medallion is located, instead it will lead you to another clue I have hidden on PUBLIC LAND in Ramsey County. This hidden "Critical Clue", will contain essential information on where the Treasure Medallion is located. There will be only 1 copy of the Critical Clue so finders keepers if anyone finds it. The finder is not required to inform anyone on the find even me the clue writer, so hunt for it at your own risk. Will you stay on the path of the treasure, or will you gamble and use your valuable time tracking down the Critical Clue? Rules for the “Critical Clue” are exactly the same as the rules for Coldest’s Lost Treasure listed above.​

DISCLAIMER
By participating in the Coldest's Lost Treasure Xllll event, you acknowledge and agree to a complete waiver of liability, assuming full responsibility for any and all risks associated with participation, including injuries, accidents, property damage, loss, or death. The event host, clue writer, and the Medallion Militia shall not be held liable under any circumstance. By registering, you understand that your payment is considered a non-refundable donation and that this is a non-profit event, with all donations directed to an individual or cause of the Medallion Militia’s choosing. The Medallion Militia reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the hunt at its sole discretion, including if any damage occurs to parks or public lands, in which case all donations will be rolled over to a future hunt. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardians permission to participate. The prize must be claimed by a person the age of 18 or older. The winner is responsible for all taxes of their winnings. By participating, you also grant full permission for the Medallion Militia to use photographs, videos, and related media captured during the event for promotional purposes without compensation. Participants agree to act responsibly, follow all rules, and respect public property at all times. Don’t be a dummy—search, don’t destroy!
